Fall 2006 Recap & News Bulletin

Become a Certified Referee:
As you've heard in previous communications, the RHSC needs certified referees! Several years ago the Club adopted a Referee Development program to remove the financial obstacle. At this time there is an upcoming course being offered in January in Rhinebeck. Please use the link in the left navigator (Become a Certified Referee...) to locate contact and other relevant information. The RHSC needs to maintain a level of Certified Referees. These are paid assignments and offer a great way for youths 12 or older ( and adults! ) to earn extra spending money!

RHSC Holiday Dinner/Dance:
As the Fall season comes to a close and the holidays approach, the RHSC annually hosts an Adults Only dinner/dance for those of interest. This year the gathering will be at Coast Restaurant in Tivoli on Friday, December 1st starting at 6:30pm. The contact for reservations is Julie Banister, and can be reached at 845-758-2652. This year looks to be another enjoyable event that only costs $32/pp for a spectacular night out with buffet and live music.

Thinking of Spring Already!?!??
Did you only register for Fall Only and want to participate in the Spring season? To do so, Contact the Club's registrar - Brooke Stevens - by using the [ORGANIZATION] link in the left navigator and then scroll down to the registrar section to send her an email! Do so early as limits to team sizes exist and a first-come-first-serve approach with a waiting list will be used. PLEASE NOTE... coaches are not authorized to roster players to their team(s).

Red Hook Raiders Soccer - Fall Season Recap:
While the Red Hook Soccer Club is independent of the School District, our programs certainly prepare players for action on those teams. This past Fall season once again demonstrated the relationship. To begin, the number of students attending team try-outs - both boys & girls for Varsity, JV & Modified - were at record levels! While interest level is important, the skill within the pool is equally important. While both Boys & Girls teams achieved winning records, it is worthwhile to note the exceptional success of the Raiders' Soccer program.

With regards to the Boys Program, the Varsity squad once again found itself high in the Section IX rankings as it posted a 13-4-1 record... posting 37 goals for while only conceding 16!

So CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Steve Sutton and the team for your achievements of this 2006 Season!

As you may have read, the Girls Varsity team achieved a notable milestone as the 1st soccer team in Red Hook to win a section title... they are the 2006 Girls Soccer Champions of Section IX - Class "A"!

So CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Jason Pavlich and the team for achieving your 2006 season objective!

Also worthwhile to note is the success of the Girls' JV & Modified teams. They as well posted impressive game results as indicated below. So Congratulations to Coaches Bill Decker and Kelly Hicks and their JV & Modified teams!
