Club Volunteering:
As you know, the RHSC is 100% volunteer based or simply stated, we are self supporting!! At the May RHSC Board meeting, preliminary Board nominations will occur and 3 (or more) Board positions look to be vacant at this time. This is serious as it may effect the ability of the RHSC to move forward.
Are you able to assist? Do you want the RHSC to prosper... then speak with any Board member or reply to Brad Howland ( bhowland@us.ibm.com ) if interested.
New RHSC Policy Approved - Coach Certification:
At the January RHSC Board meeting, it was unanimously agreed that effective for the Fall 2006 season all Under 8 or higher level coaches are required to have minimun of the USSF "Youth Module - F" Level Coaches license or NSCAA Non-Resident State Diploma.
In conjunction with this Policy announcement, the RHSC has worked towards scheduling a class locally... actually 2. At this time we are pleased to announce that a FIRM schedule has been set for the NSCAA State Diploma. It will be held at Bard College's Stevenson Gym. Again, this is a 5 hour course and a minimum participation level of 15 individuals is required. The sessions are not limited to current RHSC coaches though a commitment to coach in the future is expected in order for the RHSC to fund the individual.
The new dates & times are:
#1: Sat., June 24th: 8AM to 1PM
#2: Sun., June 25th: Noon to 5PM

Travel Team Try-outs:
If your child is enthusiastic about playing soccer, and would enjoy playing with more competitive and skilled teammates, then the Travel program might be the proper choice. For more information, please contact Amy Sivulich at (845)876-1152. For this upcoming Fall 2006/Spring 2007 season, the below listing indicates the try-out dates for the various teams. All Travel Team try-outs will occur at the Mill Road School fields.

The Board wishes to remind ALL about our "Code of Conduct". While we wish all to play competitively, it needs to be done so in the spirit of good sportsmanship. Take a moment to review our Code of Conduct and strive to participate in accordance to them... it makes good sense.
