Summer 2006 News Bulletin
Late Registration for 2006/2007:
Have you forgotten to register you child? Do so immediately - a "late" registration - by contacting Brooke Stevens, the RHSC's Registrar. Be aware that a $25 late fee is incurred, and if an age bracket is full, a "wait" list is used... so act quickly!
Club Volunteering:
We wish to thank those that responded to the RHSC volunteer concern... the issue has been lessened though it will likely remain as one of the larger challenges. The leadership team to support the 2006/2007 program year is near 100%. What remains is the structuring of coaches and establishing suitable team level support of the daily/weekly operations for each season. Specifically, there will be greater efforts to get volunteer support for Season Readiness, Photo Day and the weekly field lining work. More will be written on this in the next several weeks.
RHSC's 1st Coach Certification class is a success:
In conjunction with the new policy, the RHSC hosted 2 NSCAA State Diploma classes for coaches to attend. A total of 30 participants from the RHSC enjoyed the knowledgeable instruction of Jay Myers - the NSCAA Instuctor. Feedback received confirmed that individuals did enjoy and benefit from the 5 hour class. Knowing that others were interested but unable to attend those dates, the RHSC is pursuing another offering on September 16 - noon to 5PM... so mark your calendar!
Fall 2006 Season:
Preliminary dates for the 2006 season ( Intramural 8 games ) are as follows:
1.) Aug 26th: Coaches Meeting & Season Readiness Worksession (Part 1)
2.) Sep 2nd : Season Readiness Worksession (Part 2)
3.) Sep 9th : Intramural OPENING DAY!!!
Sep 10th: Travel OPENING DAY!!!
4.) Sep 16th: NSCAA State Diploma Class - Noon to 5PM ( RH Location TBD )
5.) Sep 23rd: Photo Day Packages Due
6.) Sep 30th: Photo Day
7.) Oct 7th : No Games - Columbus Weekend Break
8.) Nov 4th : Intramural Last Game Day

Reminders:
The Board wishes to remind ALL about the following;
- No Dog Policy: For child safety and health reasons, the RHSC Policy as that they remain home,
- Code of Conduct: Please instill a spirit of good sportsmanship and safety.
- Field Lining Schedule: Each season has one. A pool of volunteers from the various teams MUST do this each week... otherwise the lines become faint and a greater effort results.
- Team Parent & Phone Tree: At the 1st team meeting, someone should agree to be the team parent ( handles PhotoDay package and ensures a volunteer for field lining is identified ) and a phone tree should be established. These are not burdens for the coach!
