The Travel Program continues building on its strengthens during its winter "offseason":
The Travel Program - with its 5 teams ( BU10 Storm, GU11 Wildfire, BU11 Blizzard, GU14 Riptide, & GU16 United ) - finished the Fall season showing positive signs. While all 5 teams continued to strengthen with each game, two of the teams finishing with strong winning records; GU11 Wildfire and BU11 Blizzard. The GU11 Wildfire team ended with a 4-1-3 record, having 15 GF and 12 GA. The BU11 Blizzard team ended with a 5-3-1 record, having 32 GF and 22 GA.

During the winter, the teams are practicing indoors and participating in tournament play... with some notable success. In December at the Wappinger Tournament at Vassar, the GU16 United team took home a 3rd Place trophy, while the GU11 Wildfire team missed capturing 3rd place because of tie-breaking rules. In January at the Rhinebeck Rebound Tournament, the prior year's Division Champion Blizzard team faced another set of worthy contenders. After many well contested games, the BU11 Blizzard succeeded with a 2nd Place trophy. Next on the list is Red Hook's own "Soccer Fever" tournament at Bard on Saturday, February 26th. Afterwards, the GU11 Wildfire team will participate in the Highland Tournament at the newly opened Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton. Afterwards, it's back to outdoor play for the Spring 2005 Travel season for all!

And what about the Spring 2005 Intramural Season:
The Board has begun preparation for the 2nd half of the program year... the upcoming Spring 2005 season. First games will commense on Saturday April 16, 2005 and will conclude with its last game on Saturday June 11, 2005. There will be no games played on Saturday, May 28th but the Club will once again participate in the Memorial Day Parade.

If you are a "Fall Only" player ( or know some that is ) and wish to play this Spring... now is the time to request continuance. Please be forewarned that the request is not a guarantee as full rostered teams may exist. As in the past to properly manage this effort, a "waiting list" is being used. Therefore please contact Amy Sivulich ( Club Registrar ) or Mary Strieder ( VP-Intramural Program ) for assistance as they are solely responsible to coordinate placement.
