Spring 2004 Season Closes with Vandalism and Volunteer Needs.

Vandalism:
As you may have observed, significant vandalism occurred on June 7th - the 3rd such occurrence in 15 months. As in the past, a vehicle entered the site and proceeded to drive over numerous U5 and U6-U8 PVC goals and damaging them beyond repair. Further damage was incurred as the vehicle drove through on of the U13 goalpost ripping a significant hole in the netting and actually unseating the goalpost from its anchor. Additionally, serious ruts were also created as the vehicle performed "donuts". As in the past, the New York State Police were contacted and have investigated the scene. Given the timing of the incident, the final weekend of Intramural games occurred using practice cones as replacements to the 6 goalposts lost to the damage.

As always, communicate any information about this incident or suspicious loitering to the NYS Police at the Rhinebeck office (845)876-4033.

Registration:
A friendly reminder, the Fall 2004 - Spring 2005 registration deadline is June 25th. After that date, a $25 LATE FEE will exist with also the potential of being placed on a wait list... so act now. If you missed the on-site registration, the preprinted forms were recently sent out. If you have not received it and wish to re-register, please contact Mary Strieder at (845)758-6522.

Board Elections and other volunteer needs:
As you can envision, community programs do not exist nor succeed without dedicated leaders. At the July Board meeting, new Club officers will be elected. There are several Board positions that need to be filled by energetic individuals. If you would like to see the Club progress further, please contact Brad Howland at (845)758-4424.
In addition, numerous non-Board level leadership positions exist - for instance, extending the Club's website to do more. Again please give serious thought to "Extending a Helping Hand" and contact Brad Howland at (845)758-4424.
